THE PERFECT LAW: LIBERTY

IN THE BEGINNING…THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, AUGUST 19, 2011
THE PERFECT LAW:  LIBERTY
“For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself and goeth his way, and straightway forgetterh what manner of man he was.   But whoso looketh into THE PERFECT LAW OF LIBERTY, and continueth  therein, he being not a forgetful hearer,  but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed" (James 1:25).
Liberation is what the Spirit comes to bring--breaking us out of bondages of mind, tongue, heart, soul, and flesh.  The Spirit of the Lord is freeing us, changing us into the image of the Lord, from glory to glory.  We must desire to see what the Spirit is saying to the Church.  The Spirit is showing us his gifts.  Will we see them and believe them and receive them.  The Scriptures tell us that we must behold and hear what the Spirit is saying and doing—and not forget.    What gifts is He distributing?  We are not to behold ourselves (see) and then “forget what manner of man" God has made us to be.  The Holy Spirit is revealing, liberating  our gifts and talents and we must see and continue seeing the outpouring of the Spirit as we enter in to the work of our ministry.
Today, let us behold the perfect law of liberty.
