IN THE BEGINNING…THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, AUGUST 23, 2011
LET MY PEOPLE GO, THAT THEY MAY SERVE ME
“And the Lord spoke unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Let My people go, that they may serve me.” (Exodus 8:1)
Just as God saw the cry of the children of Israel when they were in hard bondage in Egypt and sent deliverance, so he sees the bondages of his children today. The Holy Spirit comes to deliver the Church from every bondage today. The scriptures tell us in Romans that God has made a way for us to be eternally delivered from the bondage of corruption. Instead, as we are led by the Spirit, we receive the glorious liberty of the sons of God. As we receive this liberty we are to serve the Lord.
Today, let us serve gladly, as we continue to live in the Spirit.
