IN THE BEGINNING…THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, AUGUST 25, 2011
HE FEARED GOD
“There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil”(Job 1:1).
God knew that Job was perfect and upright, a man who feared Him. We see that Job sanctified his children and offered burnt offering for each of his children. This is a demonstration of an act of reverent fear toward God. “Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually" (see Job 1:5). How do we express the fear of God in our lives? How do we show our fear of Him?
Today, let us demonstrate the fear of the Lord.
