THE VOICE OF GOD

IN THE BEGINNING…THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, JULY 27, 2011
THE VOICE OF GOD
“And ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire:  we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth” (Deuteronomy 5:24).
It is still true today, God talks with man.  He desires to speak into your ear a word of life, hope, peace, prosperity.  He desires to speak a word of correction, a word of wisdom, a word of instruction.  Just as God desired an intimate relationship with the children of Israel, He desires an intimate relationship with his children, the Church.   His messengers-- the  apostles and prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers-- speak as oracles of God for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ until we all come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto  the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ(read Ephesians 4). Today, let us labor in the Scriptures and fill ourselves with the Word, and we will hear God’s voice today.
