STRANGERS AND PILGRIMS ON THE EARTH
“THESE ALL DIED IN FAITH…AND CONFESSED THAT THEY WERE STRANGERS AND PILGRIMS ON THE EARTH” (Hebrews 11:13).
The sons and daughters of God are those of us who are led by the Spirit of God, because nothing else on this earth can divinely guide us. God’s generous gift of his Spirit enables us to survive and to do our Father’s will-- on earth as it is in heaven. Funny, sometimes it takes a long time to know God’s will and direction, but once we see-- we begin to move. And we move like Abraham, who “called to go into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed, not knowing whither he went.” Yes, we are here pitching our tent in a strange country. We are bondservants and overcomers about our Father’s business.
Today, let us sojourn, and remember that this place is not our home!
