THE VIRTUOUS WOMAN
Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. Proverbs 31:10
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1:2,3,4
And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. Luke 8:46
And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all. Luke 6:19
The virtuous woman is characterized by one who goes about doing good. The activity of the virtuous woman is the outstanding characteristic. She is busy fulfilling the plans of her Lord, her husband, and her family. Biblical virtue is actually divine power. The woman of virtue obviously is a woman of God, possessing divine power to accomplish her many tasks. Virtue flows out of her-- and we see Christ in her.
