THOU ART ALL FAIR
Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee. Song of Solomon 4:7
When we think of Jesus on the cross we see the utter and profound love He has for His beloved. In fact, that is what Christianity is all about: divine love poured out. The Song of Solomon is the perfect illustration of love and loveliness. Yes, the Song is a picture of earthy love, taking place in a idyllic countryside, but it shows us how to love with grace, and we must first love our brothers and sisters down here before we can really possess the power to love God. "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen" ( I John 4:20)?
