THE PERFECT SON

IN THE BEGINNING...THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, APRIL 7, 2013

THE PERFECT SON

And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. John 8:29

Jesus is the perfect Son. He is the perfect Son because He always does those things that are pleasing to His heavenly Father: "And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him" (John 8:29).

Jesus is the perfect Son because when it was time to work for His Father, he was willing and ready and said: "... How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?"

Jesus is the perfect Son because when he saw that His Father's will would be very hard to accomplish, he submitted his will to the Father's and found the strength to go forth:  Saying, "Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done" (Luke 22:42).

Jesus is the perfect Son because when God gives Him rule of the Kingdom, He governs the kingdom for the glory of the Father, and then puts all things in subjection to the Father:
"And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all"(I Corinthians 15:28).

Today, we worship God!
