REPENTANCE IS NOT A REVOLVING DOOR

REPENTANCE IS NOT A REVOLVING DOOR

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. Hebrews 6:4-6

Let us not be fooled by the man or woman who chooses to sin over and over again.  Once you have been enlightened, you can't keep going back to the dark.  Once you have come to understand the Way of the Lord, you can't play dumb.  Once you've been lifted, you can't willfully fall.  For it is impossible for Christ to renew you again to repentance.  After Christ paid the price for your salvation, how can you take His sacrifice as some common thing?  No! " Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot" (I Peter 1:18, 19).

Our God is a God of forgiveness, indeed.  But remember when Jesus forgave he said  "go and sin no more."   "Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee" (John 5:14). "When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more" (John 8:10,11).

Today, God is not playing!
