IN THE BEGINNING…THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, JANUARY 27, 2012
GOING FORTH, CONQUERING
And I saw, and behold a white
horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he
went forth conquering, and to conquer. Revelations 6:2
The kingdom of heaven suffers violence, according to Matthew 11:12: And from the days of John the Baptist
until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence and the violent take it by
force.
We need to know that Jesus is a conquering Savior who reigns in a conquering kingdom. To Live in Christ is to live with conquering power,
daily. We have to commit our lives to Christ Jesus and surrender to His Spirit
as it quickens us to conquer every opposition we have been called to overcome. Indeed, we are called to conquer. This is our birthright as a child of God. This is what
Jesus did while on earth, and this is what He is still doing in and
through his body.
Today, let us not be weary in
well doing, but let us continue in the conquering work of Christ Jesus.
