THE GARDEN OF THE LORD
For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her
waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like
the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving,
and the voice of melody. Isaiah 51:3
The church of Jesus Christ is the Garden of the Lord. He cares for you who have given your life to Christ and received God's gift of salvation. He treasures you who are the true branches and you who have been graffed in to the olive tree called Israel. “He shall cause them that
come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of
the world with fruit” (Isaiah 27:6). God
sees His Garden as a vineyard that is kept with great care: “I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every
moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day” (Isaiah 27:3).
Yes, the Lord’s garden is blossoming in preparation for Christ’s
return. Many great works are being sown,
taking root and bearing fruit. The gates of hell shall not prevail against us.
“ Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion,
and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine,
and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul
shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all”
(Jeremiah 31:12).
