IN THE BEGINNING…THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, MARCH 5, 2012
SANCTUARY
Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the
mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which thou hast made for
thee to dwell in, in thee O Lord, in the Sanctuary which thy hands have
established.
The Holy Spirit draws the unbeliever to Christ
and changes him, sanctifies him, makes him fit to be a child of God. At that miraculous moment of change, where
Christ is accepted and his atonement gifted to our account, the moment that we receive salvation, there
the believer finds the Sanctuary of God.
The Sanctuary, held between the crucified arms of Christ and the
stretched out arms of the Father, there is our space of peace, love,
blessedness, joy, restoration, holiness.
Deuteronomy 33:27 says: "The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath
are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee;
and shall say, Destroy them." What
wickedness shall touch you in the Sanctuary of God? Your Lord shall destroy all foes. “Because thou
hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall
thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling” (Psalm 91:9, 10).
Today, let us allow our souls to have holy rest
in the holy Sanctuary of God.
