FAMILY TIME
IN THE BEGINNING…THE WORD

And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. Matthew 19:5,6
The family unit is established by God. It is through one man, Abraham, who was married to one woman Sarah, which established God’s family on earth, the family of Faith. “Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will show thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curse thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed” (Genesis 12:1-3).
The husband and wife unit is the most intimate family unit. The marriage unit must be protected, guarded and revered. The enemy knows that if he can destroy the husband-wife unit he can wipe out the entire family, destroying a godly lineage, destroying godly seed. If there is someone who hates your spouse, this cannot be your friend. Will you befriend he whom is formed to destroy your family? We take so much, so lightly, but God is so serious--and life is so precious. We must guard our life in God, our faith in God and our family in God.
“What therefore God hath joined together let no man put asunder “(Matthew 19:6).
Today, let us guard Marriage, and let us have sweet, blessed family time.
