CALLING ON THE GOD OF ISRAEL

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, September 2, 2018 CALLING ON THE GOD OF ISRAEL And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. I Chronicles 4:10

ROSE OF SHARON

I. THE BEFINNING THE WORD DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, August 26, 2018 ROSE OF SHARON Song of Songs 2:1-4 KJV [1] I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. [2] As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters. [3] As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. [4] He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.

THE TURNING POINT

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, AUGUST 25, 2018 THE TURNING POINT Acts 13:46-52 KJV [46] Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. [47] For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying , I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. [48] And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. [49] And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region. [50] But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts. [51] But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium. [52] And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.

THE CONDEMNING OF THE GUILTLESS

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, August 3, 2018 CONDEMNING THE GUILTLESS: the war between LAW and grace At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it , they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him; How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple. But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

THESE THREE ARE ONE

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, August 1, 2018 THESE THREE ARE ONE For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 1 John 5:3-7

LIFTED ON HIGH

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, July 31, 2018 LIFTED ON HIGH 1 Chronicles 14:2 KJV And David perceived that the Lord had confirmed him king over Israel, for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Israel.

HE HEARD MY CRY!❤️

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, July 31, 2018 HE HEARD MY CRY!❤️ I sought the Lord , and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him , and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the Lord , ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing . Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord. What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken. Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate. The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. Psalm 34:4-22

Salvation Shall Not Tarry

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, July 26, 2018 SALVATION SHALL NOT TARRY Isaiah 46:10-11,13 KJV Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it , I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it , I will also do it. I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.

I WISDOM

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, JULY 8, 2018

I WISDOM

Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?  She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.  She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.  Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man. O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart. Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.  For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.  All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge. Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.  The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.  Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.  By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.  I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Riches and honour are with me; yea , durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures. The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.  I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.  When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth: While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world. When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth: When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep: When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth: Then I was by him, as one brought up with him : and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him; Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.  Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways. Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord . But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death. Proverbs 8

HOW EXCELLENT IS THY LOVINGKINDNESS, OH GOD!

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, May 20, 2018

HOW EXCELLENT IS THY LOVINGKINDNESS, OH GOD!

Thy mercy, O Lord , is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.  Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O Lord , thou preservest man and beast. How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart. Psalm 36:5-10

DIVINE INSPIRATION

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, April 9, 2018
Divine Inspiration

Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.  Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them , and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:  Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained. John 20:19-23 KJV
Jesus left his heavenly dominion to dwell with man, to became Emmanuel, God with us; he became poor, covered himself with flesh and blood, so that we could be rich, spiritual and divine—giving all of us who call on the name of Jesus an inheritance that is far beyond what our eyes have seen or ears have heard, or even that we can ever imagine.
Jesus’ work was accomplished in his earthly ministry and finished on the cross.  While he walked upon the earth as the Son of man, the son of David, he fulfilled the Word of the prophets.  He was careful to fulfill all the law and the prophets and opened the way for complete communion with God. “Peace” Jesus proclaims after his resurrection.  And Again “Peace.” Our peace has been purchased.  We have Peace with God.  We are at once holy and righteous and worthy to be called the sons and daughters of God. That is our position; there is no condemnation.
After Jesus proclaims Peace, Jesus immediately turns to the work of establishing his earthly kingdom through the power of the Holy Spirit.  Jesus, the second Adam, breaths on his disciples. This is not the breath of life, but this is the breath of the quickening spirit!
In Genesis we read:  And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. After Jesus’ Resurrection he breaths on the disciples to receive the Holy Spirit. This is the breath of eternal life.  This breath is resurrection power life;  This is the breath of the Overcomer’s life! The “man cannot hinder me” life. This was Divine Inspiration passed to us from the Christ!
In the Resurrection of Jesus, God raised His Son from the dead through the power of the Holy Ghost.  Jesus’ breathing on his disciples signifies the Grace of God.  The Holy Ghost will carry on the mission of the overcoming life forevermore through the witness of his disciples.  The Holy Spirit would live in us as He divinely inspired us in everyway.
This breath of Jesus is also a commissioning breath. “As the Father hath sent me, even so send I you.”  It is the Spirit that continues on to this day, working in you and in me. It is the Spirit of power to prove the points God would have us to prove and to fulfill every Word and pleasure of God.  The Father sent Jesus for the very same purposes that Jesus sends you and me.  “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”   So we are to go, bold as a lion, with divine inspiration and destroy the works of the devil. Jesus came to seek and to save the lost as stated in Luke 19:10: For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. Filled with the Spirit, we are to go to seek and to save the lost. And whose soever sins you remit they are remitted.  And whose soever sins you retain, they are retained! We hold the blessing and power and divine inspiration of God given to those who may receive it.

HE BECAME SIN FOR US

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, MARCH 26, 2018

HE BECAME SIN FOR US

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.  II Corinthians 5:20,21

But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe for there is no difference:  For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.  Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness:that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.  Romans 3:21-26

A SON IS GIVEN

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, March 14, 2018 A SON IS GIVEN And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. 1 Kings 3:6

NEVER AGAIN

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, MARCH 11, 2018

NEVER AGAIN
In the Lord shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.  Isaiah 45:25

Perhaps you have experienced being unjustly attacked, exposed to a tyrant, abused by a madman.  You may know the wounds of having insults hurled at you or enduring the brutal scene of seeing a loved one harmed.  Unfortunately, madmen get away with murder every day; they find ways to destroy; they are bent on destruction.  Though many of us may have experienced injustices, none of us have ever experienced the atrocities of the  Holocaust, when as many as 6 million Jews were slaughtered-- the only words that are fitting are "Never Again."
For it is not God’s plan that any should perish, and as the scripture states all the seed of Israel shall be saved.  In the LORD, Israel shall never perish again.  Jesus provides a door for you to  enter in to find safety:" I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture" (John 10:9).

ARE YOU PERFECT?

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTION FOR TODAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2018

ARE YOU PERFECT?

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:38

As Christians, we often try to be perfect in the wrong ways.  We try to do everything without error, in time, by the letter, by example.  This is good, but far from perfect.  In fact it can often create an arrogance that is unacceptable and pharisaic.  When our LORD tells us to be perfect as the Father is perfect, he is telling us to be perfect in Love.  First, perfect in mercy, forgiving those who have wronged us.  Letting the meanness of others roll off our backs.  Loving those who are lovely and the unlovely.  Helping those who deserve it and those who don't deserve it for whatever the reason. Yes, perfection is a high calling in Christ!

THIS IS THE SUM

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, February 19, 2018

THIS IS THE SUM

Hebrews 8:1-13 KJV
Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;  A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.  For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer. For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:  Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.  But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.  For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:  Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that he saith, A new covenant , he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Grace! Grace!

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONS FOR TODAY, February 7, 2018

GRACE! GRACE!

Zechariah 4:1-14 KJV
And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep, And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof: And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof. So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord? Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts. Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying , Grace, grace unto it. Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you. For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord , which run to and fro through the whole earth. Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?  And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be ? And I said, No, my lord.  Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.

THE PROBLEM WITH PLURALITY

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, JANUARY 24, 2018

THE PROBLEM WITH PLURALITY
Like the ringing of church chimes on a Sunday morning, the voice of God is clear:  “I the LORD am thy Savior and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob" (Isaiah 60:16). God  speaks in  righteousness and declares what is right and true.  His word proclaims:  “For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord and there is none else” (Isaiah 45:18).
God indeed speaks for himself when he states that He alone is God:  “I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me:  I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:  That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else (Isaiah 45:5,6 KJV).

We are now living in the twenty-first century of compromise.  The culture believes that it is evil to make moral judgements of right and wrong.  The culture almost demands diversity and open mindedness with regard to one's belief system.  Many in the Church are moving away from the truths of Scripture, rejecting the laws of God; preferring an obscure middleground that is not even related to the true Church.    When we proclaim salvation in Christ alone we are seen as offensive, abrasive, combative and even rude.

Nevertheless, there's a really big problem with proclaiming anything other than salvation in Christ alone. This is the problem:  Salvation outside of Christ, isn't salvation at all.  We must trust in the One who made the earth by himself.  We must trust in the One who atoned for our sins on the cross.  We must trust in the One who is the only Savior of mankind.  We are saved by the Lord with an everlasting salvation. We won’t be ashamed or confounded for all of eternity, according to the truth recorded in Isaiah 45:17.   God is so clear on this: Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.  Isaiah 44:80
The Church just can’t get this wrong: Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.  (Acts 4:12 )
Jesus is the Holy One and our One and Only.
Even if man chooses to not agree with God and decides to be right in his own eyes, God has already settled the matter and a Day is coming when the government that is on our LORD’s shoulder will be the only government politically correct.  For when the day of the LORD comes the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD and his name ONE (Zechariah 14:9).  Of Jesus, we can be sure of this one thing: “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11).

THE CONQUERING POWER OF THE CROSS

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, JANUARY 18, 2018

THE CONQUERING POWER OF THE CROSS
For the Christian, life can be lived in an abundance of peace and joy through the conquering power of the cross. While many suffer from anxiety and depression, the Christian has an arsenal of spiritual and physical resources to overcome every mental and spiritual challenge of life.  We truly can be “anxious for nothing” by accessing the resources that God provides in His Word, in His creation, in His salvation plan, and especially in the prized, secret power of the conquering cross.
My son wears a gold cross around his neck and will not take it off.  He has several friends who have this practice as well.  In fact, while serving as the captain of his high school baseball team, he inspired the other seniors to each adorn a cross-- as a statement of sorts. They looked cool with their jewelry, but I had hoped that I had given my son enough information for him to truly understand the very real power in the cross.
The cross overcomes every curse and every cursed thing that dares to come against us.  Galatians 3:13 states “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.” By taking on the ultimate curse of dying on the cross, Jesus purchased our freedom from the Curse, so that the power of every Curseth thing is absorbed in the CRUCIFIXION.  “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed.” I Peter 2:24
As you see through this scripture in I Peter 2:24, the curse of sin has no bearing upon the true Christian.  Those of us who are true Christians are completely righteous, not in ourselves or in our own works, but through the blessed righteousness that God adorns us with. A spiritual robe of righteousness covers our carnal, mortal man and makes us Children of the Living God- holy, accepted, and beloved. It is through this power of the cross that we conquer every circumstance in life and even in death.  Have you ever wondered why there’s a cross planted on the top of the believer’s grave? "As it is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.”  (I Corinthians 15:54)
“O death, where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.  But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
(I Corinthians 15:55-57)
As true Christians who have entrusted our lives to Christ, we can live with an abundance of peace and joy knowing that Christ has done a complete work on the cross-- and it is finished. Even death has no sting and the grave has no victory.  For there is a conquering power in the cross that not only obliterates every curse in life, but at the point of death, the cross ensures our eternal life with God  and a bodily resurrection at the appointed time.  Yes, the conquering power of the cross overcomes EVERY obstacle in life and death. Now that’s Good News!

REMEMBERING THY LOVE MORE THAN WINE

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, January 17, 2018

REMEMBERING THY LOVE MORE THAN WINE

[1] The song of songs, which is Solomon's. [2] Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine. [3] Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee. [4] Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee. [9] I have compared thee, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharaoh's chariots. [11] We will make thee borders of gold with studs of silver. [12] While the king sitteth at his table, my spikenard sendeth forth the smell thereof. [13] A bundle of myrrh is my wellbeloved unto me; he shall lie all night betwixt my breasts. [15] Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes. [16] Behold, thou art fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed is green.  Song of Songs 1:1-4,9,11-13,15-16 KJV

The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.  So shall ye know that I am the Lord your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the Lord , and shall water the valley of Shittim.  Joel 3:16-18 KJV

MINISTERS A FLAME OF FIRE

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, JANUARY 9, 2018

MINISTERS A FLAME OF FIRE

And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
HEBREWS 1:6-14

FINDING THE KINGDOM WORTH EVERYTHING

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY

FINDING THE KINGDOM WORTH EVERYTHING

Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
Matthew 13:43-46 KJV

AFTER DEATH, THE RESURRECTION

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, January 6, 2017

AFTER DEATH, THE RESURRECTION

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: [44] It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. [45] And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. [46] Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. [47] The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.  1 Corinthians 15:42-47 KJV

BLESSED AND SURE

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalm 1:3
