WITH OPEN FACE

IN THE BEGINNING...THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2015

WITH OPEN FACE

But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed.
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
2 CORINTHIANS 3:16-18

For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is in glory.
Having therefore such hope, we use much confidence.
And not as Moses put a veil upon his face, that the children of Israel might not steadfastly look on the face of that which is made void.
But their senses were made dull. For, until this present day, the selfsame veil, in the reading of the old testament, remaineth not taken away (because in Christ it is made void).
But even until this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.
But when they shall be converted to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away.
Now the Lord is a Spirit. And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
But we all, beholding the glory of the Lord with open face, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 CORINTHIANS 3:11-18

I COME TO THE GARDEN ALONE

IN THE BEGINNING...THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2015

I COME TO THE GARDEN ALONE

And they will say, 'This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden, and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are now fortified and inhabited.'
Then the nations that are left all around you shall know that I am the LORD; I have rebuilt the ruined places and replanted that which was desolate. I am the LORD; I have spoken, and I will do it.
"Thus says the Lord GOD: This also I will let the house of Israel ask me to do for them: to increase their people like a flock.
Like the flock for sacrifices, like the flock at Jerusalem during her appointed feasts, so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of people. Then they will know that I am the LORD."
EZEKIEL 36:35-38

OUR WEALTH AND RESOURCE: DRAWING OUT OF THE RIVER OF LIFE

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2015

OUR WEALTH AND RESOURCE:  DRAWING OUT OF THE RIVER OF LIFE

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. REVELATIONS 22:1-2

He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. JOHN 7:38

ZION!

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2015

ZION!

Who is that coming up from the wilderness, leaning on her beloved? Under the apple tree I awakened you. There your mother was in labor with you; there she who bore you was in labor.
Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy is fierce as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the LORD.
Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it. If a man offered for love all the wealth of his house, he would be utterly despised. SONG OF SOLOMON 8:5-8:7

TELL THE NUMBER OF STARS, AND COUNT THEM

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
SEPTEMBER 21, 2015

TELL THE NUMBER OF STARS, AND COUNT THEM

Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.
The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.
Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.
Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:
Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.
He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.
He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.
The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.
Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.
For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.
He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.
He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.
He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.
He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.
He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD. PSALM 147

CONSIDER THE STARS

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2015

CONSIDER THE STARS

To the choirmaster: according to The Gittith. A Psalm of David. O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.
Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger.
When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.
You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet,
all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field,
the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas.
O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! PSALM 8:1-9

THE HAND OF THE LORD

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2015

THE HAND OF THE LORD

The people came up out of the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and they encamped at Gilgal on the east border of Jericho.
And those twelve stones, which they took out of the Jordan, Joshua set up at Gilgal.
And he said to the people of Israel, "When your children ask their fathers in times to come, 'What do these stones mean?'
then you shall let your children know, 'Israel passed over this Jordan on dry ground.'
For the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan for you until you passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up for us until we passed over,
so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the LORD is mighty, that you may fear the LORD your God forever." JOSHUA 4:19-24

THE HALO: THE CIRCLE OF LIGHT AND MUTUAL LOVE

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2015

THE HALO:  THE CIRCLE OF LIGHT AND MUTUAL LOVE

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
J And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
J I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. JOHN 17

CIRCUMCISION OF THE HEART

IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2015

CIRCUMCISION OF THE HEART

For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. ROMANS 2:28,29
