PREPARED
IN THE BEGINNING...THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2011
PREPARED
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,
coming down from God out of heaven,
prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Revelations 21:2
Prepared. This quality is at the essence of Christianity.
The bride is prepared because she wants to please her husband; in like
manner the church of God must be prepared in order to
please our Lord. As we foresee a situation, we must prepare for
the situation. And foresight happens without alarm. Just as the five wise
virgins actively prepared for the wedding feast, the church of God must now
actively prepare for the last day harvest of souls and the imminent return
of our Savior and King.
Today, let us prepare ourselves!

SUBDUE IT
IN THE BEGINNING...THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2011
SUBDUE IT
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God
created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them,
and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and
multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion
over the fish of the sea, and over the
fowl of the air, and over every living thing
that moveth upon the earth.
Genesis 1:27,28
The children of God are to subdue the earth. By the power that worketh
in us, we are to place under control everything that would
exalt itself above God.
Today, let us use the power that worketh in us
to subdue all!

WE CAN RUN
IN THE BEGINNING...THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2011
WE CAN RUN
I have taught thee in the way of wisdom: I have led thee in right paths. When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened(hampered); and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble. Proverbs 4:11,12
Our heavenly Father has given us of His divine Wisdom. As we continue to allow His Wisdom to guide and instruct us, we are assured that when we run, we will not stumble. And we need to run as messengers of the Good News. We need to run to take down every opposition to our Father's glory. We need to run, and when we run we know that God will cause us to triumph.
Today, let us run as we perform great exploits for God's kingdom!

THY WILL BE DONE
IN THE BEGINNING…THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2011
THY WILL BE DONE
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:10
The will of God will be performed by those called by His NAME. For we must operate in the kingdom, subduing everything that is in opposition to our Father’s glory. And we bring no glory to ourselves, nor do we work for our own operations: We are about our Father’s business.
The will of God is known by those in fellowship with him. It is our prayer that we are hearing his voice as we go forth to do always those things that please Him.
Today, Let us pray to hear God clearly as we endeavor to perform His will, for His glory.

GIVING NONE OCCASION
IN THE BEGINNING...THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2011
GIVING NONE OCCASION
I will therefore that the younger women marry,
bear children, guide the house, give none occasion
to the adversary to speak reproachfully. I Timothy 5:14
As we dwell in the Kingdom of God, we must be diligent to
disallow reproach. What is there in your life that may bring dishonor
to God? In the name of Jesus, let that circumstance, attitude, possession,
relationship be destroyed by the power of God.
Today, let us bring honor to GOD, destroy reproach and
do exploits!

HE MUST REIGN
IN THE BEGINNING...THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2011
HE MUST REIGN
For He must reign, till he put all enemies under his feet.
I Corinthians 15:25
The reign of Christ has everything to do with destroying God's
enemies. Christ must be at all times aware of that which is in opposition
to his Father's glory. Jesus saw what the religious could not see in themselves: "You are
of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He
was a murderer from the beginning, and
abode not in the truth, because there is no
truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh
of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it" (John 8:44).
There is work to be done in the kingdom of God. Jesus said, "I must
Work the works of him that sent me while it is day: the night
cometh, when no man can work" (John 9:4).
Today, let us walk in Christ's rule, authority and power.

THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM
IN THE BEGINNING...THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2011
THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM
Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came
into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the
kingdom of God. And saying, The time is fulfilled
And the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye and believe
the gospel. Mark 1:14,15
God has a mighty and powerful kingdom.
Today, let us reign with Christ Jesus!

TO GOD BE THE GLORY
IN THE BEGINNING...THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2011
TO GOD BE THE GLORY
And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall
the Son also himself be subject unto him
that put all things under him, that God may be
all in all. I Corinthians 15:28
This is my favorite Scripture. Oh, how I love Jesus! After having
received all majesty and power and glory, we see that it is and will
forever be Jesus' chief desire to give all the glory to God. Jesus acts
as a steward and servant of his Father's kingdom. Once he clears the Kingdom
of all tares and everything that would exalt itself against the knowledge of God,
Jesus subdues the Kingdom and Himself to the Glory of God: "that God may be all
in all."
Today, let us decrease and God increase!

THE PERFECT DAY
IN THE BEGINNING...THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2011
THE PERFECT DAY
But the path of the just is as the shining light,
that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
Proverbs 4:18
The path of the just is illuminated by the Word of
God-- which is a lamp unto our feet. As we stay in the
Scriptures the Holy Spirit moves on our hearts and guides us
in the right direction. As we continue to walk with God
we walk into His glory. We are anointed by His Spirit
and continually comforted by His presence...what a perfect day!
Today, Let us thank God for the perfect day!

THROUGH CHRIST
IN THE BEGINNING...THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2011
THROUGH CHRIST
I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHICH STRENGTHENETH ME.
Philippians 4:13
We can accomplish every thing we set out to do through the
power of Christ Jesus. "...Greater is He that is in you, than he
that is in the world"(1John4:4). We are the church that overcometh!
Today, let us bind the devil and do exploits.

IN THE BEGINNING...THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2011
BLESSINGS AND CURSINGS
I CALL HEAVEN AND EARTH TO RECORD THIS DAY AGAINST YOU,
that I have set before you life and death , blessing and cursing:
therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou
mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him:
for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou
mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers,
to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
Today,choose life!

NEW JERUSALEM
IN THE BEGINNING...THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY,NOVEMBER 10,2011
NEW JERUSALEM
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God
out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Revelation 21:2
When Jesus came to earth, he made all things new at his advent. He
made a new Jerusalem-- which is now the spiritual habitation of believers. It is inhabited
by a people of promise, faith, righteousness and freedom. This new
Jerusalem is without sin and without condemnation. This
new Jerusalem is from above...and the glory of
God is in the midst of her.
Today, let us praise God for the new Jerusalem!

THE MOTHER OF US ALL
IN THE BEGINNING...THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, November 9,2011
THE MOTHER OF US ALL
But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the
mother of us all. Galatians 4:26
Sarah and Abraham had a child of promise. God had promised
that he would give them a son, and they waited for him to come, and he did.
Sarah represents Jerusalem above. For all who trust in the promise of
salvation through Jesus Christ alone, receive the promise of salvation. We are free,
never again to be enslaved to a burden. We are free to serve God in Spirit and in truth.
Today, let us praise God for making us a part of the New Jerusalem.

YOUR GENTLENESS
IN THE BEGINNING...THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2011
YOUR GENTLENESS
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation:
and thy right hand hath holden me up,
and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Psalms 18:35
David knew the gentleness of
God, and so declares that it was
God's gentleness which had made him great.
Thankfully, we serve a God who holds us up, enlightens
our darkness, and keeps our feet from slipping. He gently, patiently trains us and equips us so that in God's perfect time we find and can perform God's perfect will.
Today, let us allow the Holy
Spirit to bear the sweet fruit of gentleness in us!

NO CHARGE
IN THE BEGINNING...THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, NOVEMBER 3,2011
NO CHARGE
AND THEY STONED STEPHEN, CALLING UPON GOD,
AND SAYING, LORD JESUS, RECEIVE MY SPIRIT.
AND HE KNEELED DOWN, AND CRIED WITH A LOUD VOICE,
LORD, LAY NOT THIS SIN TO THEIR CHARGE. AND WHEN
HE HAD SAID THIS, HE FELL ASLEEP. ACTS 7:59,60
I imagine Stephen had to use all of the strength he had
to utter his last words. Out of all the words he could have
spoken, he chose these: LAY NOT THIS SIN TO THEIR CHARGE.
Stephen was an innocent man, but he was far from ordinary.
The scriptures tell us, "And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles
among the people"(Acts 6:8). Though Stephen was a man of God, the people hated him. Still, he modeled Jesus by forgiving his accusers.
Today, let us model Christ as we ask God to dismiss the charges against those who have harmed us.

IN THE BEGINNING...THE WORD
DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2011
FINDING LIFE
He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall
find it. Matthew 10:39
Are you willing to lose your life for the sake of JESUS. When we lose our lives we are
willing to suffer loss of reputation and status. We allow God to break up what is false
in our lives and replace it for what is true, eternal, and worthy. Oh how wonderful it is when we find life.
Today, let us claim our life in God.
